Great job with everything except they need bigger check-in lines because there are more and more people waiting in line and I have heard a story that says they missed a flight here due to check-in times.
Great airport! It is modern and security goes fast. There is no Starbucks... but everything else is ok! I will come back to this airport!
Really nice airport. They have areas with really comfortable seats and play areas for kids. Prices weren't too bad for an airport.
One of my favourite airports! Although I am Canadian when possible I will choose this airport every time over YYZ as it is so much easier to get around. Smaller line ups and things move so much better than at Pearson. Not to mention flights from here tend to be so much cheaper
I was in Buffalo Niagara International airport with family on 16th October 2017. We were traveling with friends in a group of 7 and was in a hurry to catch a plane to JFK. In the first Passport scanning there was this particularly rude black male officer that nearly caused us to miss our flight. Not only that he was very rude, he also have some serious authority /power issue. I was travelling with two non English speaking parents who was queueing In front of me, and as it was our turn, I followed my parents from behind naturally, but I was stopped by this black officer and was asked if I just tried to cut the line. I explained that these two people in front of me are my parents and that I followed behind them because we are travelling together as a group, but he repeated himself and was not happy when I told him the same answer: that I wasn’t cutting the line, I was just following my parents. He then told me to queue again back from the starting line, and he gave my parents a hard time, as my parents didn’t understand a word he says. He was shouting at my parents as well, as if it would help them understand English. It was ridiculous. Then, when it was finally my turn, he asked for the other two officers to take me away and do a thorough check on my visa, which was literally just there on my passport page. He could’ve easily just do a visa check on his computer right in front of him, but he didn’t. And so I was brought into a different room/ section and the whole visa checking process was very time consuming. My group waited for me and there was no more room for us to place our hand-carry luggage when we finally got on plane. It was horrible. This black officer surely has some authority issue, he wasn’t very pleased when he thought he just caught someone trying to disobey the rules but it turned out he was wrong, and was proven wrong. My suggestion is to please assess your working personnel’s mentality before assigning them. Nothing this black officer did to me has anything to do with security. It was all about his ego, and me and my group almost missed a plane because of him.
