After being involved in a rear-end collision, I assumed my insurance company would take care of it, since the other driver was clearly at fault. Unfortunately, I was wrong.
Throughout the process, the insurance company offered several low-ball figures, which we rejected. It was clear the firm was ready and willing to take my case to trial to get the compensation they felt I deserved.
I told them I was just going to come into the office and wait untill Robert could see me. She put me on hold and some woman got on the line and told me they couldn't represent me. I asked why no one had bothered to tell me and she said I had been sent a letter, which I had been over already. She asked what my injury even was while she had my file open. Which means that all the documents I had provided, the two interviews I had, the pictures, the police reports- everything had been just... Thrown out? She didn't know my injury and asked me a bunch of questions about it. She asked what my condition was currently, I said I had persistent pain to this day (2 years later) but I wasn't currently medicated. I said that I had had no contact from the lawyer after I got the x-ray so I didn't know what action I should take. 2 years ago. She said since there was no injury they couldn't represent me for a personal injury case. I told her there WAS an injury two years ago when I contacted them and that I wanted to recoup the 10-20 Grand I lost due to the injury. She again said since there was no injury currently she couldn't help me. As if I had just come in off the street complaining about nothing. It was the most unprofessional and ridiculous thing I've ever heard and it's blatantly obvious that these "lawyers" aren't interested in taking any cases that won't net them huge sums of money. Despite the fact that 20g to a normal human being who owns their own business and works without a net is a lot of money. I have contacted a lawyer to see if there is anything I can do because if I had known they weren't taking any action on my case and that I had got tossed to the side for a bigger case that would get them more money in essentially got screwed. Hard. And the hoops I had to jump through not to mention the time I spent waiting for them to even contact me was completly wasted. Time that could have been spent pursuing an actual injury case.
I left 2 voice mails to Robert Moranto and never got a call back. I called back and talked to the same receptionist/paralegal and was asked if I wanted to leave a voicemails, AGAIN, I said no I had done that 7 separate times and never recieved anything back. She then told me they had sent a letter to me and the letter had been returned. Apparently they sent it to the address I had a home fire at. When it was returned they never bothered to contact me.

So far, so good! This law office appears to have it's stuff together. And I like the fact that they don't have to advertise like the the the other 2 law firms with the 444444 and the 888888 numbers which tells me they get a lot of word of mouth advertising..the best kind. Also I called one of the 444 and/or 888 numbers and the attorney was very short and rude. After my case I will do a follow up to let you all know how my complete experience was.

I was originally injured on the job when I was working at the Erie County fair grounds. My injury was sever enough that I couldn't work the 2 week show loosing 6500 dollars plus my deposit of 1500 dollars. I was unable to work a following show 4 weeks later due to my injury. Under the advise of the lawyer I filed a police report, which I had to drive a hour and a half away to file it in the county station. The later then advised me to increase my medical insurance from the standard policy to one that included mri and cray scans. I did that and had to pay a 900 dollar deductible to get the procedure. Paying of course entirely out of pocket. I provided them with medical reports, photos and police documentation. I had 2 visits with the lawyer and was told I'd be contacted further. 3 months passed and I finally called them twice, never received a call back. 6 months after that I tried again to no avail. I assumed they dropped the case and just were super unprofessional and didn't bother to contact me about it. A year later I was down in Georgia and recieved a phone call from them. I called them back and a woman asked for all my information and medical documents again. I didn't have to provide them just tell her again what had happened. I was suprised to hear from them and got my hopes up. I had just had a house fire and thought what a godsend the money would be. For another 6 months I didn't hear anything. I called several times in the interim leaving numerous voicemails and never received a response. I finally moved home and contacted them to finally find out what was going on.
