This place is literally the best. Jim the owner is the nicest, hardest working man I've ever met. I've seen him regularly give drinks and slices for free to the homeless. If his over the top generosity isn't reason enough to support him, it also happens to be the best pizza in buffalo. The pizzas here are THICK. seriously, I'm a big guy and I'm full after two slices. A full pizza has to weigh near 5-7 pounds, specialty pizzas are even thicker with toppings. Calzones are easily three separate meals, chicken finger dinners are gigantic as well.
The pizza is fantastic! My family and I drive all the way from West Seneca just to have it! The owner is very sweet! He always gives my children free drinks to go along with their meals. The staff is awesome! Excellent customer service! I wish they had a location in the southtowns!
The pizza is good and the owner is a nice guy, but don't expect good service from every employee here. I ordered a medium mushroom pizza here about a week ago, only to realize later that they put pepperoni on it. I'm a vegetarian of 5 years and picking the pepperoni off and out of the cheese wasn't an option for me. It was about 2 am and too late to turn around and wait for another 20 minutes. I called back to tell them about the mistake, and the woman who answered the phone told me, "we have pepperoni written on the order slip." I explained to her how haven't ordered pepperoni on a pizza in 5 years and most certainly didn't do so this time around. After some back and forth they said they'd give me a credit under my phone number, which was fine with me. So tonight, my boyfriend and I decide to get pizza. He said he would call daddios to order it and pick it up on the way home and I tell him there's a credit under my number. He calls me a few minutes later telling me the guy asked him a bunch of questions about the previous order and told him that there is no credit. Wonderful. So I call. The guy, again, says that there is no credit under my number. I explain my first visit as written above, and the great Sherlock Holmes tells me that what my boyfriend said and what I said don't match up. He says, " He called and now you're calling, both with different stories and no credit under your phone number." So this guy is basically calling me a liar just trying to get a free pizza. I ask to speak to the owner and he puts me on hold. When he comes back to the phone, he tells me the owner "thinks" he remembers me. I then begin my order of a medium pizza with mushroom and spinach and he interrupts with as much rudeness as I'm sure this disgruntled man can muster, "no, no, that's not how this works." Excuse me? Eventually, after being insulted by the dude more than once, I ordered the pizza.
I beg you to give daddios a try. The food is reason enough to give him your business, but the owner also happens to be a great person.
Go there all the time. Service is great. Great food. Good people. Alway welcoming even when their busy.
Tried this place specifically for sweet sauce pizza and fried dough late at night with a couple friends and when the food came the fried dough needed more frying.... and the pizza sauce wasn't exactly sweet but instead savory. Still was good. I don't know if it was just real late or if it was laziness. (Also wasn't ideal considering having to also pay for skip the dishes)
If you want a place for a quick late night bite, I recommend it. It might not be painless, just speak to the staff as little as possible. But if you want to be spoken to with respect and maybe a little dash of kindness-- look elsewhere.
