I hope I am still living in the district when my own daughter starts school. Having her attend this school system would make me proud.
Great school to go to
Daughter did well in school there, but upon entering the college of her choice, it became clear that the students from different school systems were more educated than she was. Would recommend getting as much help for the student who is a regents student and decides to attend any college. This would be hopeful for future reference
The school's is the worst
I went to JFK, graduating in 2002 and while all high school students think the grass is greener on the other side, this notion proved to be false in my experience. I went to another public high school briefly and while that school was supposed to be superior to JFK, it clearly was not.
All of the subjects I took were very thorough, but English and French class stand out as being the most in depth. Because of the wonderful Mrs. Simonetta, I was able to go to Quebec and Paris and converse with the locals. While they knew french was not my first language, I was more than prepared to hold short conversations with the wonderful people that live there.
