We had lunch here while passing through on the way home from Niagara Falls. Nice nostalgic decor. Short wait, friendly staff. The wings don't really live up to the hype, but as popular as this place is, they don't need to. We came here for the historic value and to check one more thing off of our bucket list.
Great place to stop in to experience the first buffalo wings. However, if I lived in the area I would not frequent often since I've had better wings elsewhere with different flavors.
The inside is full of things to look at. It's a tourist destination so it sees a lot of foot traffic. Because of this it seems a little dirty and dusty.
Took a special trip here on the way back from Niagra. Anchor bar is the home of the buffalo wing so we had to stop.
Food was great, we got the chicken tenders tossed in Hot and the Chicken Sandwich in Medium... Neither of us cared for the Pizza Logs though. Definitely seems to be a historical place but the tables were all so close to each other and the restaurant quiet we couldn't really talk personal, I could hear everyone's conversations. Also for soda drinkers, it's pricier than most places and only comes with 1 refill.
Wings were solid. Good ratio of sauce to wing, slightly crunchy, and their hear levels of mild/med/hot were pretty spot on. Also, these are the only flavors of wings they offer plus BBQ. We only ate wings but their menu is very extensive includes all sorts of things. I'll let you decide if that's a positive thing or not.
Was recommended to go here claiming the best wings around. I can say I was not disappointed. Prices were higher than I expected but worth every penny. Wings were great flavor and had great size. Server was attentive and did a great job.
This place was great! I went to my father's military meeting around the corner, and we went there for lunch. I live close by, only and hour out, but I saw people who were from other country's waiting there. It was great service, great wings, great fries, refills came right when your glass was empty, and by far the best part was the salads. The atmosphere is light, calm and nice. There is a restaurant and a bar, very nice people. When you get there right when it opens, there are lots of lines, but it was quickly organized. And when I say good service, I mean we got there with 30+ other people and more coming in, and we ordered and had our food in the first 15 minutes of being there. Totally recommend.
