I'm a political moderate but I like (and think it's important) to read perspectives from across the political spectrum. We had some time to kill on the last day of our long weekend in Buffalo/Niagara Falls and a Google search for used bookstores led us to Burning Books. It's a gem of a little place. The selection, while slanted to the far left, I found to be fascinating. I picked up a book of essays on resistance movements in the age of Trump. Not that I plan on resisting - I still have hope the guy will tire of Twitter and decide to be a president - but the book gave me some things to think about on the plane right home. If you're a bookphile and find yourself in Buffalo, I highly recommend checking this place out, even if you aren't liberal. Also, there's a gorgeous park a few blocks away next to D'Youville College that's a perfect spot to relax and read.
Best book selection with friendly staff. Lots of gems you will not be able to find most places. Highly recommend.
My daughter loved this place! Lots of interesting books!
Fine, upstanding anarchist infoshop that plays a vital role in the community, you'll notice if you spend a little time there. Stellar selection of children's books, too.
Prepare to engage your mind and heart in whole new ways. Radical bookstore stocks books, music, art and provides gathering place for lectures, activists.
