I was going to this office as a 25 year old, knowing there was something wrong with my body. I was constantly reminded that it all comes down to eating healthy and was told the continue waiting out the hormone therapy for Hashimoto's. I decided to go to a different doctor in Rochester and found out I have kidney disease and high cortisol levels, which this doctor would not provide testing for originally. I could have been on the right track to a healthier me far earlier than this, which may now lead to larger issues. I do not recommend this office. I was not taken as seriously as I should have been, which may have been because of my age.
I called to make an appointment with her for my Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome 2 month ago. I was told to come in on July 27th @ 10:30 and if it was possible to have my primary doctor run some lab work associated with the disease. I got my primary doctor to order the lab work and I went to the schedule appointment and the receptionist told me that unfortunately they did not have an appointment schedule for me today. They asked me to have a seat and she was going to talk with her manager. (This happened after they ignored me waiting to check in for 10 minutes)The receptionist called me back over and stated again that I didn't have an appointment and asked me to come back on Monday. I told the woman that I'm leaving the country and I was told to come in today so I won't be rescheduling. I told her I would figure something out when I come home again in May. I think they handle the situation unprofessionally. I more than likely will be looking for a different endocrinologist in the future
I have been seeing Dr. Giardino for some time now. The staff is very attentive and courteous and very attractive. Especially the Caribbean queen at the front desk and the office manager. The Dr. takes her time with every appointment and is very knowledgeable and attentive to my concerns . And she's quite easy on the eye as well.
Had my first visit & was nervous because of some of these reviews. The staff was very friendly and always answers the phones promptly. I met with Janelle the PA for my first visit and also a quick visit with the MD herself. Janelle was very thorough & I felt confident working with her
(Update) I received a call from the office to reschedule an appointment and I was pleasantly surprised to hear a mans voice on the other end. He was very courteous and friendly and patient while I checked to see what day was best for me.
Highly recommend this Doctor. She is the best
The Physicians Assistant was the best part of the experience. The doctor's approach toward thyroid treatment is perfunctory. It is my opinion that her attitude is pompous and arrogant. I would not recommend anyone with hypothyroidism to seek out this doctor for treatment.
