Loved the whole setup! Bartender woman very attentive with great patience and personality! The food menu appealed to me, because it was one page. The choices are great and love the flavors! Crazy thing it seemed like their was a lot of loud noises from dishes and items being stacked. . .stress relief of some kind? Good atmosphere for talking, the music was in the background where it's suppose to be. Had a fun time thankyou.
I've been to Tappo a couple of times. I think the food and atmosphere are great (I've only ever eaten on the roof). However this past time I went I was not impressed.
Melt-in-your mouth meatballs, warm and inviting atmosphere, reasonably priced wine selection, kind and helpful staff. Tappo was excellent from beginning to end. One point to keep in mind - it's a very open room and can get quite loud. If you're with someone who has difficulty hearing this might be an issue. Otherwise, wonderful!
My friends and I were up-charged on everything. I ordered the cheese garlic bread as an appetizer which came with a cup of marinara on the side - got charged $1.50 for it! I thought it was complimentary since I didn't ask for it! When my friends ordered their meal, they were asked if they wanted soup or salad, also thinking this came with their meal. Wrong again, they were $5 and $6 each! We were not told at all. Needless to say, we were very surprised when the bill came our way. Which was another issue- we wanted to do 3 separate transactions (you're not allowed to split the bill). Our waitress asked us to divide up what we wanted on each card, including tax. I don't feel like that should have been our responsibility.
REALLY good spaghetti and meatballs. Simply amazing looking restaurant, our waitress was really kind, Valerie, and brought the food within 5 minutes! Can't wait to go back.
Lastly, you'll be here for at least 2 hours. I understand that's the Italian atmosphere with eating, but our waitress walked by our table multiple times and saw that we were done eating but did nothing. Hopefully service can be improved for future customers.
My lasagna was basically warm mush. I'm not sure if I just got a meal that was reheated or what. Everyone else at my table seemed to enjoy their food but mine was pretty terrible. Also, what kind of Italian restaurant charges for bread?
