"Staff were great and very accommodating. I ended up renting with Avis after a competitor had me picking up a car after they had closed for the day. My experience with Avis was a "10" and was very happy with my decision. I will rent with them again".
Avoid renting from Avis at all cost!!!! They have so many additional hidden fees that will be added on at the end of your rental. They will give you the one time "courtesy adjustment of $10" to rectify your billing issues. The customer service is horrible and you can never speak with anyone at the counter. The number diverts you to toll free reservation hot line, where there are people with language barriers and attitudes who act as if they're doing you a favor by renting with Avis. Do yourself a favor and rent with Enterprise or Alamo.
Loved my Budget Rental experience! I was greeted by prompt, friendly service. I received a car that was exactly what I wanted. (I didn’t want to return it; that’s how much I liked it!!!) Do yourself a favor and make your reservations online. I walked by several people who were making them in person. Using the online system saved a ton of time.
Landed at around midnight, and was in line for an hour. There was only ONE person at the desk, and only 5 people in front of us. It got to the point where one group decided to get a taxi because it was taking so long. A process that’s only supposed to be about 3 minutes took 10+ due to the fact that the single person working was have a conversation with everyone that came to the desk. Not to mention, while waiting in line, 2 people came back with complaints of their car which made the process even longer. This was very unprofessional. When it’s that early in the morning, and you’ve been on 2 flights, the last thing I want to do is have a long pointless conversation with the front desk. I’d rather get my key and GO. We were very unpleased with the service that was experienced last night.
Avis had messed up our reservation and our car was not available when we arrived. But the customer service agent (Gerri) apologized sincerely, offered solutions, discounted our rate and really worked to make things right. I was very impressed and will use Avis again in the future.
